Where did John Chow go wrong?

Recently there was a huge buzz around the search industry about a very uncanny phenomenon where JohnChow.com was not ranking for his own name! Well it had been hit by manual penalization by Google.

So, why did the ban came?
Well JohnChow.com was using this unethical way to improve his rankings for the term make money online by giving people links from his site, and making the comment section followable by robots with a price, but the mistake he made is that he made it public and well on Internet there are good, bad and evil!

So the penalty came to him!
