Google recently announced that it has acquired a mobile ad display company called AdMob for a price of $750 million. Earlier last month, Google built its very own platform for AdSense on all mobile devices and this acquisition only boosts the website’s venture as it gives access to more than 15,000 mobile web sites and applications through AdMob.
You can find more information about this acquisition at google.com/press/admob. AdMob had sent an email to all its publishers and advertisers describing the details of the acquisition and the new partnership with Google. The company promised its well wishers that it will continue to effectively monetize mobile traffic without any interruptions and also deliver successful campaigns for the user. The combined effort of the company’s product and engineering team, sales team and business development team will continue to uphold the quality of the 15,000 web sites and applications that make up AdMob’s publisher network.
AdMob reported that it intends to work in close association with Google to better the quality of the products offered by bringing in the latest innovation and technology to its services. The companies are also planning to increase the effectiveness of display advertising on the various mobile devices.
Both the websites together are planning to increase the investment portfolio to build innovative and engaging ad units across platforms which can improve the quality of targeting and tracking. They also plan to improve the existing high level of customer service and support to all its users, advertisers and publishers.
This acquisition can easily make Google the largest of all mobile networks. According to the UBS analysts, in this deal, Google could have paid an 8-12×2011 revenue for AdMob. This new deal by Google and AdMob is definitely one to watch out for as it will drastically improve the quality of mobile ad services.
