All Services of Google Not Available Equally Everywhere

When you think about internet the first thing that comes to your mind is the full form of WWW which is ‘World Wide Web’. But do you think everything is available everywhere equally? But, the real fact is that it is not. There are plenty of Google services which are available to certain places and to the others it is not.

You might have found this by chance as you see the message “ This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions.” This is one message which comes up when you are browsing with YouTube.

Google Books is another place where you come across such restrictions. For example, in Germany the message which comes up when you try to read “The Comedies of William Shakespeare” is “No preview available”. On the other hand, on browsing through another proxy of US, I can easily read the same.

Did you know that there is a music service by Google in China where you can listen to music which is directly connected to the Google homepage, google.cn? At the same time, when you want to listen to the same from outside China, you can read the alert showing, “Music streaming or download services are not available in your region.”

Gmail services are not available in all the places. Instead, you need to be happy with the email address @googlemail.com. When you log into gmail.com in certain countries, the alert comes up telling you, “We can’t provide service under the Gmail name in Germany.”

Isn’t it surprising? Yes it does happen and all the facilities are not equally available round the corner. Some other Google services which are partly available include Google SMS, Google Apps, Google Voice and lot more. We are just hoping to get the best services at our end especially the Google Music one so as to enjoy quality music anytime anywhere!
