There has been a few reports of the last few months complaining about the allowance of exceeding character limits than mentioned in the guidelines for Adwords Ads. On asking more about the same thing to the concerned officials, they had to reply that no changes has been made to the rules in the same. On reporting about the same issue by last month by a few concerned people to Google got reply that the things would be solved out soon and would certainly be looked into seriously. Later the reply from the Google Account manager came up telling that the same thing is under wild check by Google for the past few months.
The Google officials brought out a long explanation for this aspect as something on the default basic. It has been told that the system itself does the insertion of the keywords if the character limit has been already crossed. This is a rare case and does not occur always as in some the characters just sets up to the just right for the space it occupies. In the same way, an ad text containing special characters like punctuation marks or capital letters, the same thing happens and only a few characters would certainly go into the line.
The rule is strict and sometime the limit exceed by chance and there is no guarantee laid upon this issue and I hope this would not set ground for the advertisers to tailor it up to meet this particular requirement by themselves. If something happens likely, the use of inserting keywords would be a real waste of time as the default text would go in the place of a long keyword. Therefore, just hope things get alright and people do not misuse this particular option of Google!
